Company: Starbucks

What does it do for sustainability?
Starbucks took into account that 2012 was the hottest year ever recorded. The made more energy efficient stores. The conserve energy and water and they buy renewable energy credits.  They company's goal is to reduce the amount of energy they use by 25% by 2015. I din't know that Starbucks was so eco friendly. They are reducing their water consumption little by little everyday. By 2015 they are hopping to reduce it by 25%!

Apart from energy and water, Starbucks also has tried to reduce wastes, cups and other materials. They are doing this by making personal cups. They cost one dollar and you can use it as many times as you want, therefore reducing the amount of plastic cups that are used. I think that like Starbucks is such a big and important company they will inspire other smaller stores and companies to do what they are doing and taking care of the environment. We can all contribute to having a better planet.
